New SAILOR MOON CRYSTAL Images Have Us Ready to Fight Evil By Moonlight

While I’d much prefer the new Sailor Moon series be called Senshi and Sensibility rather than Sailor Moon Crystal, I can’t deny that my excitement level for the 20th anniversary series is anything other than palpable. Ever since my cousin Jennifer introduced me to the original series through a battered, old VHS tape back in the day, Sailor Moon has had a special place in my heart. But enough about me — there’s a brand new Sailor Moon series debuting on Neon Alley and Hulu on July 5th and today we get a batch of brand new images to tide us over until the we can start fighting evil by moonlight and winning love by daylight.

Mamoru in his bespectacled, non-Tuxedo Mask garb? Moon Tiara Attack action? Special character shots? Yes, please!

What are you most excited for in Sailor Moon Crystal? What was your favorite episode from the older series? Let us know in the comments below.

I started watching SM back in my junior high days (when it aired in ’95 via DIC entertainment) and have been a fan ever since. Being the total nerd I was (and still am) I started our school’s first-ever Anime Club and showed the Sailor Moon S series (that wasn’t aired initially in the US) during lunch-I ordered the VHS tapes online and every other day played episodes in a classroom. At the end of the semester we had a packed room and continued showing seasons 3-5 as the years progressed and made some Greg friends in the process. Like many others, I can’t even begin to described how stoked I am for SM Crystal!!

Yessssss. I grew up on Sailor Moon when it aired in Cartoon Network’s Toonami. It was one of the moments that cemented me in nerdom. I’m so excited!
