New Rabbit Cafe Is the Most Adorable Way to Dine Out

Want to eat your lunch in the company of delightful animals? Who doesn’t! It started with cat cafes, where patrons could come and enjoy a snack and be pals with a feline friend. Recently, the pet cafe biz has exploded and expanded to dogs, owls, and even reptiles. Now, Hong Kong’s first rabbit cafe has opened and the photos are too fuzzy for words.

Rabbitland Cafe opened up just last week in Causeway Bay, and people are lining up just to cuddle with some bunny. Any bunny. Since Hong Kong is so congested, residents don’t have the necessary space to take care of pets, so they use these types of cafes to spend time with furry friends at their leisure.

According to Daily Mail, rabbits are the third most neglected animals in Hong Kong. Rabbitland provides a home to 12 rescue bunnies.

The rules are strict at the cafe, as they should be. No children under six years old are allowed, and kids between seven and 12 must be accompanied by an adult. You aren’t allowed to pick up the animals, or (understandably) to pull on their ears. I should say not! Would you want your ears pulled on?

Get comfy, because all the restaurant seating is on the floor, which allows for the bunnies to run free as you eat. Since you are basically on the ground the whole time, socks are mandatory and if you arrive without a pair you can purchase one from the cafe. One would hope they have cute bunny faces on them.

The Rabbitland Instagram gives you a peek into the flufftastic lives of the bunnies. Food-wise, the restaurant seems to serve standard cafe fare like sandwiches and drinks. Perhaps a carrot cake would be a good choice for dessert.

Check out Rabbitland Cafe on Instagram and Facebook for even more information. Would you like to eat lunch with a friendly neighborhood rabbit? Let us know in the comments!
