New Olly Moss HARRY POTTER Prints Are Positively Magical

Olly Moss and Harry Potter, together again. No need to pinch yourself; it’s really happening. Moss has a distinct style, and he applied it when he created covers for the Harry Potter eBooks and he’s done it again with these images he created in collaboration with Pottermore. He revisited the Wizarding World to design covers for the re-release of the German Harry Potter audio books; the designs were commissioned by Pottermore. Moss turned the audio bookcovers into prints for the entire Harry Potter series, and each piece puts Hogwarts front and center.

Having the beloved School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in every poster makes perfect sense. So much action happened at Hogwarts over the course of the books, and Harry grew up at the castle. The posters include book-specific touches such as Harry arriving to Hogwarts for the first time in this print for The Philosopher’s Stone:

I adore everything about this art. I especially like how the lighting highlights all the students traveling via boat to Hogwarts. I know it’s cheesy to say, but this and the other prints (in the gallery below) really capture the wonder of the books. Moss told Pottermore the art and colors are inspired by 1950s seaside towns. “I was just a big fan of 1950s design. It just seemed like a natural fit. I really liked the idea of Harry getting on a train and going somewhere exciting every year. There is something very British about that,” he said.

If your walls are yelling at you to buy these prints, then first of all, you should really get someone to check that out because walls shouldn’t talk. Secondly, you can purchase the art from Moss’ website. They’re not limited edition, but they are only available for a limited time. You need to order by October 25; they’ll print enough posters to fulfill orders placed by then.

Which of these posters are you scooping up? Tell me in the comments.
