New GAME OF THRONES Figures Are Crazy Detailed

With an cast of characters and scenarios as lengthy and exhaustive as a New York City phone book, there is no shortage of potential Game of Thrones collectibles and merchandise for the epic HBO series. And if you’re a fan of character depictions cast in plastic, you’ll find Dark Horse’s latest figures fantastic. Depicting some of the series’ most popular characters on the show in molded, high quality, nonarticulated plastic, these latest likeness bearers would be welcome in any home across the realm and beyond.

Following the success of the previously announced line-up of figures, the five newest additions will debut at the International Toy Fair in New York City this February. Featuring Arya Stark, Cersei Baratheon (née Lannister), Jaime Lannister, Robb Stark, and even a creepy-looking White Walker, the 7.5 inch tall figures join the popular, previously released Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen figures and the forthcoming Tyrion Lannister, Khal Drogo, and Ned Stark figures slated for an early-April release leading up to the season four premiere.

Described in the press release as “represent[ing] a moment in time from the show,” while also “perfectly capturing each character’s true personality,” Dark Horse Product Development head David Scroggy remarked that the reason for their non-movement was “in order to capture all of the small details that would be at risk in a traditional jointed action figure. No corners have been cut in achieving realism and faithfulness to the HBO series.”

And that’s not all: according to Dark Horse, there are 5 more premium figures in the prototype stage, meaning we could very well get a few more of these as early as November, 2014.
