New FALLING WATER Trailer is INCEPTION Insanity from THE WALKING DEAD Producers (Exclusive)

Here’s the thing about sleep: it could be the greatest or scariest thing that happens to our minds, but we’ll likely never know because we’re not awake when it’s happening. Yes, we know it’s beneficial to our bodies, but outside of that we know nothing about the mechanics behind dreams and sleep beyond the fragments of dreams with which we’re left. As the latest trailer for USA Network’s freshman drama Falling Water posits, it’s a lot more creepily ominous than that. Just check out the exclusive trailer that we’re debuting right here, right now, above!

Grrrrrrrreaaaaaaat: like our insomnia-driven asses needed another reason to be afraid of/resistant to sleep.

By the looks of what we’re going to experience when the show premieres on October 13, minds will be bent and realities shattered in this Inception-gone-critical take on the ramifications of dream-control in the real world. And given that it’s produced by The Walking Dead‘s Gale Anne Hurd and Homeland‘s Henry Bromell (who, yes, died in 2013 but worked on this script long before his sudden and tragic death), we’re fairly certain this is going to be just as head-scratch-y and twistedly shocking as the movie we name-checked before AND the two properties on which Bromell and Hurd worked.

Falling Water stars Lizzie Brocheré (American Horror Story), Will Yun Lee, and  David Ajala, and looks at the potential inter-connectivity of the unconscious mind, namely through dreams, of three unrelated people. After realizing that each one of them are dreaming parts of one seemingly overarching dream, they begin an epic and dangerous quest that shows perhaps their individual desires/goals to accomplish in their dreams are part of something much larger. To control the whole entire world? Probably! Because that’s what scary shows do well.
