The CULT OF CHUCKY Looks Mental in New Photos

For the first time in four years, Chucky‘s coming out to play next month in his new film, Cult of Chucky. Child’s Play and Chucky creator Don Mancini is back in the director’s chair for this direct-to-video sequel, which picks up a few years after Curse of Chucky. Naturally, Brad Dourif is once again reprising his role as the voice of Chucky, while Dourif’s daughter, Fiona Dourif, is also returning as Nica Pierce, Chucky’s most recent victim. Universal Pictures has released a new batch of photos from Cult of Chucky, which offer a lot of hints about the story. There are definitely spoilers ahead! So consider yourselves warned.

Since Chucky successfully framed Nica for the murders of her own family in the previous movie, Cult of Chucky will find Nica in an asylum as she’s been convinced by her doctors that she really is crazy. It seems likely that Chucky’s return will once again confirm Nica’s sanity, but this pic reveals that another patient will be Chucky’s “friend to the end.” That is Elisabeth Rosen as Madeline, and she’s seen alongside Chucky in several of the new pictures, including a photo where she tucks Chucky into bed!

Unfortunately for Ali Tataryn’s Ashley, Chucky seems decidedly unfriendly in this image. Ashley may want to start running soon after…if she still can. But the biggest surprise in this batch of pics is the following reveal of Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany, who is somehow back in human form.

You can find the rest of the new Cult of Chucky photos in our gallery below. Noticeably absent from the images is Alex Vincent, who is reprising his role as Andy Barclay from the first two Child’s Play movies. But we expect Andy and Chucky’s rematch to be one of the highlights of the film. Cult of Chucky will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on October 3.
