Next month, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will explode in Captain America: Civil War when the superheroes split between teams Captain America and Iron Man over the future of the Avengers. Only one team can prevail, but this is a war that won’t have any winners.
New concept art from Captain America: Civil War has popped up online (via ComicBookMovie), including a close up of Iron Man’s new armor and Black Panther’s costume. But the most intriguing images are the superhero fights. Of course, there’s the main event between Cap and Iron Man. However, War Machine and Falcon are locked in a one-on-one duel in two of the new images. Check out all the images in the gallery below.
It’s not clear how well War Machine and Falcon got along before this movie, but they joined the Avengers together at the end of Age of Ultron, so it’s not like they don’t know each other.
Captain America: Civil War directors Anthony and Joe Russo also teased another superhero battle on their Instagram account: Black Panther vs. the Winter Soldier.
Judging from the trailers for Civil War, it looks like Bucky is more or less back in his right mind after decades as the Winter Soldier. But the way that Black Panther is going after Bucky in this pic certainly suggests that he holds some kind of grudge against Cap’s best bud.
Captain America: Civil War will be released on May 6.
