This is one fine looking trailer. Child of Light, the side-scrolling RPG from Ubisoft, is on the way later this month, and here’s probably one of your best chances to get a look at what’s shaping up to be a major departure from the publisher’s output over the last few years.

Developed at Ubisoft’s Montreal studio, Child of Light is set in the fantasy kingdom of Lemuria, where your heroine must battle the evil influence of the Queen of Darkness. Much hopping and flying will ensue. Ubisoft is describing the game as “a playable poem complemented with a story carefully crafted in verse and rhyme” inspired by fairy tales.

Child of Light is coming to the WiiU, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, and PS3 on April 30th.
