After an explosive promo for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that promises game changing implications for the MCU, Marvel has released a brand new television spot for Captain America: The Winter Soldier that only amplifies suspicion:

So we know Fury is attacked and S.H.I.E.L.D. is under fire from some higher ups. Around this time last year it was revealed that Cap 2 was going to take the appearance of a political thriller, and these promos are certainly delivering on that promise. Considering that the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. trailer was teasing major changes for the MCU, one can only imagine where this is all leading.

Regardless of speculation, this is arguably the best piece of marketing to come out of the Marvel camp since the first trailer. It’s lean, mean and heavy on the plot teasing. If the movie is even half as good as this spot promises it is, we’re in for one hell of a treat come April 4^th.
