Guys, how is it that when I think I can’t be any more excited for Batman: Arkham Knight, Rocksteady finds a way to excite me even more? With this newest trailer Rocksteady taps into the very reason everyone loves these games, you get to be The Batman. I know that is why I play them, and if you say that is not a major reason that you do, you are a liar. The commercial seems to be taking a cue from the older “A Soldier In All Of Us” ad campaign that the Call Of Duty games ran several years ago. Its a good strategy that plays on the strength of the character as well as the immersive atmosphere of Rocksteady’s games.

After the commercial assures us that playing the new Batman game will grant us the ability to survive structure fires, ignore crippling injuries, and beat up street thugs in the real world, it gives a few more looks at gameplay footage. The character models in this game are stunning, and really show that Rocksteady was ready to harness the abilities of the next generation consoles. That Scarecrow shot truly is the thing of nightmares, and I can not wait to tear across Gotham in the Batmobile causing fiery mayhem.
