New ASH VS EVIL DEAD Season 2 Teaser Brings the Guts and Gore

This fall, Bruce Campbell will once again pick up his chainsaw hand and grab his boomstick for another season of Ash vs Evil Dead on Starz. Last season, Ash found a new way to get out of his responsibilities as the Chosen One by giving up the Necronomicon to Ruby (Lucy Lawless), the enigmatic woman who claimed to be the writer of the malevolent book!

Ash and “the Ghostbeaters,” Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) drove off to Jacksonville, Florida to rebuild their lives, but the party isn’t over! As revealed in last week’s exclusive first look at season 2, there’s a new threat on the horizon and Team Ash is gonna have to join forces with Ruby to stop it!

Fans can expect to see a full trailer for Ash vs Evil Dead to debut at Comic-Con later this month. But in the meantime, Starz has released a new teaser trailer that ups the gore level considerably. There aren’t really any story details to be gleaned from this video, but it is a symphony of blood…and killer intestines?! Also, it appears that Ruby has adopted a new look which may help her pass as a law enforcement official.

There will be a few new faces joining the cast this season, including Lee Majors as Ash’s father, Brock Williams; Michelle Hurd as Ash’s high school sweetheart, Linda, and Ted Raimi as Ash’s best childhood best friend, Chet Kaminski. Between Lawless, Campbell, and Raimi, they only need Renee O’Connor to make a full-blown Xena reunion. Make it happen, Starz!

Ash vs. Evil Dead season 2 will premiere in October on Starz.
