Netflix is Bringing STRANGER THINGS, DEFENDERS, and BRIGHT to SDCC 2017

San Diego Comic-Con is just around the corner! It’s the time of year where all of our faves converge into one location, creating an intense week of awesomeness (and extreme exhaustion afterwards). For this year’s fest, Netflix has just announced that they have a ton of awesome stuff for all of us to check out. Whether you are able to get into Hall H or you just check out the show’s booth, there is going to be a lot of fun stuff for fans of Netflix shows. So what can you expect?

Immersive Experiences

All weekend long, you can stop by the Netflix booth (#3729) to check out a 360 experience of Netflix content. At the booth you’ll find some exclusive content as well as some casting info and giveaways. Of course, if you’re really looking to dive into the world of some of your favorite Netflix shows, you should head over to the Hilton Gaslamp for The Netflix Experience. All weekend long (all day Thursday and Friday and 11am-8pm on Saturday and Sunday) you can try out new VR experiences that will take you places like the Upside Down from Stranger Things or the streets of New York as the Defenders see them. Of course, if VR isn’t your jam, they’ll also have exclusive content releases and giveaways to check out.

Bright Panel

If you want to learn more about the Netflix original movie Bright starring Will Smith, be sure to be in Hall H at 3:15 on Thursday to see a panel with the film’s stars Will Smith, Joel Edgerton, Noomi Rapace, Lucy Fry, Edgar Ramirez, and David Ayer for a Q&A session as well as your first look at footage from the film!

Of course, this is Comic Con, so nothing is small here. So those attending the Bright panel will also get a sneak peek at Netflix’s new thriller, Death Note. You’ll also get to see footage of the cast and filmmakers discussing Death Note‘s transition from manga to film.

Surprise Screening

What’s Comic-Con without a little mystery? On Thursday at 10 in the Horton Grand Theater, Netflix will be showing a surprise screening of one of their upcoming original films. Fans are invited to the Convention Center lobby before the screening for interactive activities that include costume and prop displays, interactive activities and autograph signings. You can check out the Netflix booth to learn more!

Defenders Panel

Netflix obviously had to grace us with a panel from The Defenders, right? With the show debuting in August, there is likely to be a ton of hype around this panel. All four defenders, Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Coulter), Daredevil (Charlie Cox), and the Iron Fist (Finn Jones) will be on the Hall H stage on Friday at 5:15. Be there to join Jeph Loeb and some surprise guests of the highly-anticipated Netflix original series, and get ready to get a first look into the series before it hits Netflix on August 18.

Stranger Things Panel

Last but certainly not least is the Stranger Things panel. On Saturday at 3:00, Hall H will journey to the Upside Down! The cast and creators of the show will all be together onstage to talk about the amazing second season, as well as drop some exclusive footage to tide you over until the show’s Halloween release.

Are you heading to San Diego Comic Con this year? Which panels are you hitting up? Tell us in the comments!
