Nerdist’s 12 Hour Twitch Channel Launch Event

There’s a special place on the internet where stream monsters convene to embark on an interactive-yet-vicarious journey into fellow gamers’ rooms and television sets. A place where Omanyte is a religious icon, and the challenge of Pokémon becomes a struggle of anarchy versus democracy. This place is Twitch.tv, and it is with great pleasure that I announce the official launch of our very own Twitch channel.

Friday, October 3rd marks the day that the Nerdist team officially crosses over into the realm of excessive Kappa and exuberant emotes. Sure we’ve live-streamed before, but thanks to everyone being so supportive of the channel, we’ve decided to give it much more love and attention moving into the future, and we want you to join us as we kick off our new era in the live-gaming space.

Jessica Chobot, Dan Casey, Michele Morrow and myself will be streaming everything from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor to Starwhal: Just the Tip for a full twelve hours, with special guests RocketJump and Smosh Games stopping by to play some games with us! Word on the streets is that the folks from Loot Crate will also be coming through with some goodies for anyone hanging out in the Twitch chat.

The party starts tomorrow, October 3rd at 9am PST/ 12pm EST, so head on over on our twitch channel STAT. Or, if you’re too attached to this website or just don’t have space for another tab in your web browser, scroll on down and watch right here on Nerdist.

No one’s gonna give a rat’s ass about your Twitch Channel after your anti-Gamer stance regarding #GamerGate

  2. Louie says:

I hope there is a Nerdist News/Polaris collab in the near future. Perhaps an appearance by Jess, Dan or Malik on FriendZoneLive? Or maybe Dodger on a Nerdist stream? Mayhaps, a Nerdist News/Daily Byte crossover? I would love anyone of those possibilities. <3 Make it happen, Malik.
