Oculus, the new horror thriller from director Mike Flanagan and starring Karen Gillan, Brenton Thwaites, Katee Sackhoff, and Rory Cochrane, hits theaters this weekend, and I got a chance to talk to the cast and director about the inspiration for the film, the challenges of making a horror film, and if they themselves believe in supernatural forces:

Although the inspiration for the movie is based on someone screwing with the director/writer after a Jewish funeral (that’s not why the mirrors are covered), the flick looks really promising and I’m looking forward to seeing it. Karen is truly fabulous!
