Nerdist and CBS Team Up to Bring SCORPION to Comic-Con

With Robert Patrick in the cast, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci producing, and Fast & Furious director Justin Lin behind the camera (not to mention Breakout Kings co-creator Nick Santora penning the script), there’s already a lot to love about the most high profile drama on CBS’s upcoming fall slate, Scorpion. Based on the experiences of real life genius Walter O’Brien, Scorpion follows the journey of a team of beautiful minds that, while the world may have written them off, fights to use their masterful intellect for good, all while trying to live somewhat normal lives.

As we told you last week, CBS plans to bring the new drama to Comic-Con this year, and now we can happily report that the network has teamed up with Nerdist to do so. In addition to the panel that will be held in Ballroom 20 on Thursday the 24th from 12:05-1:10pm, CBS will also have a Scorpion themed tent at the Nerdist Headquarters in Petco Park (100 Park Blvd., San Diego, 92101) where, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the 24th, fans will be able to “satisfy their sweet tooth cravings at the tent’s candy kiosk, check out trailers of the high-octane series, and obtain SCORPION giveaways branded with exclusive super hero-inspired art of the SCORPION characters (art designed by Ty Mattson will make its debut at Comic-Con).” The available swag will include trading cards (seen below), posters and more.

There’s a reason we’re throwing some of the Nerdist goodness behind this one; it’s a solid looking series and we can’t wait for you guys to check it out come Comic-Con weekend.

Also, for you Under The Dome fans, from “Thursday, July 24 through Friday, July 25, fans can score a free ride to their next local destination in special, domed pedi-cabs,” designed as an homage to the Stephen King drama.
