NEEEED: This BIG HERO 6 Baymax Pillow

Last year’s Oscar winner for Best Animated Feature, Disney’s Big Hero 6, has won plenty of fans for its warm wit and adrenaline-fueled superhero action. But the film’s biggest joy by far is its inflatable robotic healthcare worker, Baymax. As voiced by comedian Scott Adsit (best known for his role on TV’s 30 Rock), this mild-mannered android functions as both the film’s conscience and its comic relief, stealing every scene with his determined helpfulness and boasting as appealing a character design as any animation star in recent years. And since Baymax is built for hugging, it makes perfect sense that someone has seen fit to fashion a gigantic pillow out of his pleasingly pliable form. Kudos to Japanese retailer DEeNA Shopping for giving us a Baymax that we too can throw our arms around, the 7.5-foot long Baymattress…

Baymax 2

While the Baymattress costs four hundred dollars, we think it’s worth it for what’s sure to be the one piece of furniture in your home that you can call a friend. And who knows? With a little ingenuity (and some robotics engineering classes) on your part, he might even be able to help you rid your city of crime!

For more on everyone’s favorite cartoon caregiver, be sure to check out our interview with Scott Adsit, in which he explains how he developed Baymax’s distinct tone, as well as Adsit’s vist to our own Pop My Culture podcast.
