NASA Celebrates STAR WARS Day in an Adorable Way

I wonder what the breakdown is of current NASA employees who grew up Star Wars fans versus those who were Star Trek fans in their youth? In any event, our space program salutes the universe that George built in this cute clip featuring R2-D2 and International Space Station flight engineer Rick Mastracchio.

It was done in honor of May the 4th, Star Wars Day, which, I’m hoping, will bring us our first news about Episode VII.

But I’m getting off-track: the video is cute and a reminder that our real-life space program needs just as much support if not more than our science fiction favorites.
