Mutant Explosion in New X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Trailer

“Are we destined to destroy each other, or can we unite? Is the future truly set?” These are the words that end Professor Xavier’s monologue at the opening of the brand new trailer for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. This trailer shows, even more than before, the gravity of the situation the mutants are facing in the not-too-distant future, which looks pretty well apocalyptic by the looks of things.

This trailer focuses mainly on whether Xavier and Magneto, played alternately by James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart and then Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen, can finally see eye to eye if the other option is the complete destruction of mutant kind. The other mutants make notable appearances as well, including Mystique, Beast, Storm, and Wolverine, with glimpses of folks like Bishop, Quicksilver, Kitty Pryde, and Colossus. It’s pretty boss, if you ask me. Peter Dinklage’s Bolivar Trask and his giant mutant-hunting Sentinels also make a very prominent debut. How exciting!

X-Men: Days of Future Past berserkers its way onto cinema screens May 23rd. Which side are you on?
