There is so much good hip-hop coming out of Chicago right now it is unreal. And if 2012 was the year of Chief Keef, then 2013 is the year of SAVEMONEY and their legion of versatile artists. Odds are you know who Chance The Rapper is – the veritable figurehead of the crew – but there are so many that BuzzFeed Music is probably working on a sponsored charticle just to keep track.
At the end of last week, Vic Mensa jumped into the spotlight with Chance when he released this summertime thirst-slaker off his upcoming project Innanetape. If the Kenan & Kel intro clip doesn’t tip you off that you are in for a treat, than you probably weren’t born in the ’90s. So if you’re a little more vintage, then maybe you’ll appreciate that the hook of “Orange Soda” doffs its cap melodically to “Pusherman” and relies on Mensa’s soul chops as much as his flow. Big things to come from this guy (also keep your eyes on Kami de Chuckwu).
Dear SAVEMONEY: Please hit me up the next time you are roof-chilling in Chicago.
Sincerely,
Matt

We’ve known many from the internet give horrible information. Paul Rone-Clarke offers the most effective
You guys should feature something from the group he raps with also. Kids These Days. Pretty awesome.
I disagree with the title of the song. You drink pop and clean with soda.
I bet that is Orange Kush.
