Music Geek Track Of The Day: “No Easy Way Out” by Kid Astray

Humpday = FUNK DAY! Well, at least for this week.

Earlier this month, the Norwegian six-piece, Kid Astray, released the techno-funk song No Easy Way Out, the first song off their forthcoming EP, Cosmos. It genre-clashes in the best way, mixing techno, soul, funk, and dance.

Coming from someone who enjoyed a lot of ’80s theme parties in college, this song speaks to me. It’s so peppy, a band of golden retrievers could very well be singing it in a Mini Cooper convertible driving down the PCH.

It’s actually five dudes and a chick, but potato/potahto.
