Music Geek Track of the Day: ‘Just One Drink’ by Jack White

We’ve all been there–we’re not proud of it–but its happened to us at least once. That horrible, desperate, final hour sitting at a shitty bar and ordering a drink you don’t need and will probably see again sooner than you would prefer. It’s the kind of night where you might try as hard as you can to flirt with the nearest person you think you are attracted to, but you will obviously only say the worst thing possible or spit and trip. The person on the business end of your foolishness hates everything about you because you are a walking keg/cesspool. JUST BECAUSE IT’S FRIDAY DOESN’T MEAN YOU HAVE TO BE THIS PERSON.

This is the sloppy energy that the former White Stripes frontman, Jack White, has harnessed on his new blues-romp track, “Just One Drink,” and the fact that he recently recorded, pressed and released the  song “Lazaretto” in under four hours makes his fast-and-loose vibe all the better. So if you ultimately elect to behave this way a little later on, which I obviously advise against, you should channel this song and tell us how your night goes in the comments below.
