Music Geek Track of the Day: Armin Van Buuren’s Game of Thrones Remix

Ever been sloth-ing super hard on your couch Sunday night as Game of Thrones begins and thought to yourself: “this theme song needs a drop. I’m talking straight up, foor-on-the-floor, 120 bpm mayhem.” Me neither. But if you are established Dutch trance producer Armin Van Buuren, remixing is just in your blood, man.

Just in time for summer festival season, the producer extraordinaire released a studio version of his Game of Thrones remix that he typically drops during live sets to the raucous approval of fans. Though I am still personally more attached to the 80s remix that Steve Duzz composed, Van Buuren’s remix would make DJ Hodor proud.

Aside from existing as a club banger, this remix would serve as perfect training music for the Night’s Watch as they prepare for the hardest winter of their entire existence. Can’t you see Jon Snow doing some gnarly reps in a montage as this remix play in the background? Or perhaps Sam doing some calisthenics to make sure he can simply run away fast enough when the time comes? Check out the track below and let us know if you have your own favorite Game of Thrones cover or remix.
