Superband The Bothâfeaturing the very impressive and talented likes of Aimee Mann and Ted Leoâare bringing us the sort of holiday listlessness that feels bittersweet and beautiful this time of year with their latest tune, a Christmas number, titled “Nothing Left to Do (Let’s Make This Christmas Blue)” and it’s guaranteed to bring a frosty tear to your eye.
Featuring melancholy lyrics and ho-hum instrumentation, “Nothing Left to Do” elicits the sort of feelings one has when slightly regretful about their current emotional misgivings while, say, snuggled up watching the snowfall next to a fireplace. These two, with their emotive singing and bluesy lyrics. Damn them! (We mean that as a compliment, trust us.)
But it’s not all sad! This tune’s arrival is accompanied by the very exciting announcement that Aimee Mann is bringing back her holiday tour following three years off the road, andânatch!–she’s bringing Mr. Ted Leo on the tour with her, too. Who says there can’t be holiday miracles, eh?
And since we’re not afraid to be service-y, here are the tour dates (who wants to come with us to Largo on the 3rd, eh? Anyone?)
