MR. ROBOT Clip Features Fsociety, ARCHER Live Read at SDCC, and More

The first week of July is over already. Time flies, and it means we’re getting closer to the season two premiere of Mr. Robot. Check out today’s TV-Cap to a see a new clip from Mr. Robot, to find out what’s happening with season four of Sleepy Hollow, and to get the details on an Archer live read happening on a boat at San Diego Comic-Con.

It Has Begun. Fsociety hit the reset button on the future at the end of season one of USA’s Mr. Robot. They launched the hack to end all hacks, and season two will focus on the consequences. The show’s shared a new video on Facebook that counts down and shows Elliot and Tyrell recording the announcement video and and completing the attack. Boy oh boy, I can’t wait until this smart series returns on July 13. [Nerdist]

Panel It Up. Speaking of Mr. Robot, the show will have a presence at Comic-Con along with USA’s Colony and Falling Water. Syfy’s bringing a handful of series too, including The Expanse and The Magicians. Get day and time info for these panels at Deadline.

Boldly Thrill-riding. Forget space. Star Trek is taking the plunge into thrill ride territory with a coaster set to open in 2017 at Germany’s Movie Park. Star Trek: Operation Enterprise is set to be the second highest point in the theme park and will kick off with a “catapult-like” acceleration. The above video shows a peek at construction. [Nerdist]

Spray It On. In case you’re super pumped about NBC’s Hairspray Live!, you might want to know Ariana Grande has been cast as Penny Pingleton. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Bumping Up. AMC is promoting four of its actors to series regulars for season seven of The Walking Dead. I don’t know if that means an equal number of current series regulars will die soon… probably not. Anyway, Tom Payne (Jesus Monroe), Austin Amelio (Dwight), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), and Xander Berkeley (Gregory) have all been bumped up. You’ll see more of them in the season ahead. [Nerdist]

A Different Show? Change is constant, and that applies to fictional worlds too. Fox’s Sleepy Hollow has undergone quite the transformation since it premiered and more alterations are ahead for season four. For one thing, they’re moving the setting to Washington D.C. That means cast members Lance Gross and Jessica Camacho are out. It also means a new partner for Ichabod Crane: Anna. Like Abbie, she’s skeptical about the supernatural. She works in what’s described as the Secret Service’s basement in a low-priority department. Learn more about Anna at TVLine.

On a Boat! The cast of Archer is doing something extra special at Comic-Con. On Thursday, July 21, they’ll board the Inspiration Hornblower yacht (near the convention center) and perform a live read of an episode. Everyone is going to be there, and there will be food, drinks, a photo booth, and entertainment. I think Archer would appreciate such a classy event. Get details on how to acquire tickets at ComicBook.com.

Play That Tune. Remember how Steven Universe is coming back with new episodes? The four-week event, called Steven Universe: Summer Adventures, is launching on Monday, July 18. And then on July 19, Steven, Greg, and Pearl are going to Empire City in an entirely musical episode. You can check out the smooth beats in the above clip.

We’re Here for You. And to send out this week in style, have a rocking, metal cover of the Friends theme by Leo Moracchioli. [Nerdist]

What do you think happened to Tyrell in Mr. Robot? Is he alive or dead? Sound off in the comments.
