Movie Morsels: X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Jennifer Lawrence Photo, WORLD WAR Z Sequel Gets a Release Date

Today’s Movie Morsels is looking pretty apocalyptic, with a new photo from the set of X-Men: Apocalypse, a release date for the next World War Z film, and a new TV spot for Terminator Genisys. Fortunately, Channing Tatum is here to lighten things up and bring a smile to our faces with the latest poster for Magic Mike XXL. Plus, if you prefer to keep things dark, we’ve also got a new trailer for what’s sure to be the next Blumhouse horror: The Gallows.

X-Men: Apocalypse

We’ve heard a lot lately about the new mutants we’ll see in next summer’s X-Men: Apocalypse. But what of the alumni at Xavier’s School for Gifted Young People? Director Bryan Singer has once again taken to Instagram to share a pic of Nicholas “Beast” Hoult and Jennifer “Mystique” Lawrence, who’ve arrived on the sequel’s set. The two will co-star with the returning James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Evan Peters, and Lucas Till; as well as newbies Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Ben Hardy (Angel), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Lana Condor (Jubilee), Olivia Munn, and Oscar Isaac as the titular villain.

X-Men: Apocalypse arrives on May 27th.
