Hugh Jackman just can’t get enough of the role that made him famous, can he? The Australian actor is gearing up for his third Wolverine movie, and we’ve got word today of a damned exciting potential co-star from Bryan Singer’s mutant movie universe. Plus, how about official news on the start date and location for Zoolander 2? Still not enough? Would word on the next Halloween film and new TV spots for Chappie and Fifty Shades of Grey make you happier?! It would? Well then, we’ve got a Movie Morsels for you, dear readers!
Wolverine 3
Or is it The Wolverine 2? In any case, the next Hugh Jackman-starring solo X-Men spinoff film could also feature the team’s leader himself, Professor Xavier, as played by the inimitable Patrick Stewart.
“What Iâm very excited about is that we have been talking about a Wolverine movie, which would team Hugh Jackman and myself together,” said Stewart to Oregon Live. “Wolverine and Professor Xavier. That would be a very different sort of X-Men from the four movies that Iâve already done.”
Stewart further revealed that Ian McKellen’s Magneto, despite early reports to the contrary, will appear in next year’s X-Men: Apocalypse — “Magneto, Ian McKellen, is certainly going to be in it.”
Wolverine 3, written by David James Kelly and again directed by James Mangold, is due out on March 3, 2017.
Chappie
Hey, speaking of Hugh Jackman… District 9 director Neill Blomkamp’s Chappie — in which he appears — is just a few short weeks away from its debut on March 6th. So Sony has just released two new TV spots for the artificial-intelligence thriller. The film co-stars Sharlto Copley, Dev Patel, Ninja and Yo-Landi Vi$$er, Jose Pablo Cantillo, and Sigourney Weaver.
Spider-Man
Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can — which in this case evidently includes swinging his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Last night, Marvel officially announced that they had reached an agreement with Sony to bring Spidey into the MCU proper. Read all the details here.
Zoolander 2
Not a hoax! Not a dream! Zoolander 2 will at long last begin shooting this spring, with director-star Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor, and Penelope Cruz. Will Ferrell and Owen Wilson are also expected to return. Justin Theroux co-wrote the film with Stiller. Expect the sequel to get a little more cosmopolitan, as “the Mayor of Rome announced that Zoolander 2 will be filming for 12 weeks in and around the cityâs Cinecittà Studios.” Blue Steel is back, baby!

Halloween III
Longtime Halloween franchise producer Malek Akkad has recruited Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (the writers of Saw IV through VII and The Collector) to script the next Halloween installment, and the first since Rob Zombie’s 2009 Halloween II. “Sources say itâs not a remake, not a reboot, and not a reimagining. One source said the project is a recalibration.” Whatever that means.
Fifty Shades of Grey
Nothing says “Happy Valentine’s Day” like inviting your lover into your Red Room of Pain. So the folks behind Fifty Shades of Grey have released a pair of TV spots to help you get in the spirit of the holiday. Fifty Shades — starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson and directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson — makes bondage freaks of us all on February 13th.
