Movie Morsels: Watch Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe Get Chewed Out by NICE GUYS Producer

Happy Hump Day, folks! Let’s get this Wednesday started with a funny new behind-the-scenes video with Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe from the upcoming The Nice Guys. Also in today’s Movie Morsels, we’ve got the latest from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, Warcraft, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and more!

The Nice Guys

With so many summer blockbusters coming out these days, The Nice Guys producer Joel Silver must be getting a little nervous about how his Shane Black-directed buddy-crime-comedy will fare at the box office when it arrives this Friday. So to convince everyone he’s not at all nervous, Silver has taken part in a new video with Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe, in which he completely loses his shit in front of his two actors. It’s hilarious. And meta. And hilariously meta…

In other Nice Guys news, we here at Nerdist played a little game with the cast at the film’s recent junket. It’s a game we call “Nice Guys or Private Dicks,” which you can view right here. Enjoy!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

Oh, they’re out of the shadows all right. They’re also out of the toy store, the comic book store, and the multiplex—and right on your TV! We’ve got the two latest television spots for the sequel to Paramount’s reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. We also have a new poster for the film, featuring finely cheekboned stars Stephen Amell and Megan Fox. It appears, though, that Paramount has not received the memo that says movie posters focusing on women’s rear ends are just about the saddest cliche in all of Hollywood…

Warcraft

Hey, speaking of cliches… I always get a might skeptical when actors tell me a film will show me things I’ve never seen before, like the cast of Legendary’s Warcraft does in a new featurette on the video game adaptation. Fortunately, this entire enterprise was overseen by director Duncan Jones, who also speaks herein, and who really has shown us some things we’ve never seen before. So I’m willing to give these folks the benefit of the doubt…

The Third Wave

Ellen Page

If you thought the zombie craze had completely migrated from film to television, well, Ellen Page begs to differ. The actress (pictured above in James Gunn’s Super) has just signed on to star in The Third Wave. First-time feature director David Freyne is basing this indie thriller on his acclaimed short The First Wave. According to EW, the film is set in the wake of an undead apocalypse, in which “an antivirus has cured a majority of the infected, giving them a new chance at life, but not without the stigma of their previous illness. Society now sees the cured as monsters-turned-human and will not accept them back with open arms.” The film starts shooting later this year in Ireland.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle

Finally today, some very pleasant news from good ol’ Blighty… Sir Elton John has been officially confirmed to co-star in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, director Matthew Vaughn’s sequel to his 2014 hit Kingsman: The Secret Service. The British pop legend’s casting was announced in a most befitting manner, via a new poster he personally debuted on Instagram…

It’s been a long time since Tommy….. #Kingsman
