Happy Labor Day, America! And a happy Monday to Morselers living in this proud planet’s other countries. Is Henry Cavill’s Superman about to get a fistful of The Rock‘s Black Adam? That’s the latest buzz on the Shazam! movie. Plus, Chris Evans weighs in on Steve Rogers’ key to winning Captain America: Civil War. And we’ve got a terrific new image of Suicide Squad‘s Harley Quinn, news on the Trainspotting sequel from director Danny Boyle, and more!
Shazam!
Watch out, Superman! Black Adam is coming for you… This weekend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson shared a photo of himself wearing a Superman tee with the ominous words “No capes. #BlackAdamIGKSDITD #OneFineDay #TethInTheBloodstream” Popular theories as to the meaning of the cryptic “#BlackAdamIGKSDITD” range from “Black Adam is gonna kick Superman down in the dirt” to “Black Adam is gonna kick Superman directly in the dick.” Ouch! In any case, the speculation as to whether or not Superman will appear in the Shazam! movie has begun. Shazam! is scheduled for release on April 5, 2019.

Captain America: Civil War
Team Iron Man appears as though it may have the unfair advantage over Team Cap in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, what with heavy hitters like War Machine and The Vision on its side. But fear not, says star Chris Evans, who names the reasons he’s hopeful his cause will triumph. “Mackie and Seb,” says Evans, announcing his top two lieutenants, Anthony Mackie (The Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier). “Iâll be in a foxhole with those two guys any day.”
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, and co-starring Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Frank Grillo, Tom Holland, William Hurt, and Daniel Brühl, Captain America: Civil War breaks out on May 6, 2016.

Suicide Squad
Back to the DCU for just a moment… Have y’all seen TeeFury’s new Suicide Squad Harley Quinn t-shirt yet? Because it has done an even better job than the film’s trailer of convincing me that David Ayer’s take on the antihero team will prove worthwhile. Certainly no image yet produced of Margot Robbie’s Ms. Quinn has proved quite so appealing…
Co-starring Jared Leto, Joel Kinnaman, Will Smith, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, Scott Eastwood, Jay Hernandez, Karen Fukuhara, and Cara Delevingne, Suicide Squad opens on August 5, 2016.

Trainspotting 2
One of the seminal English-language films of the ’90s, Danny Boyle’s Trainspotting, looks like it may yet get its long talked-about sequel. While promoting his upcoming Steve Jobs at the Telluride Film Festival, Boyle remarks that âThe four main actors want to come back and do it. Now it is only a matter of getting all their schedules together which is complicated by two of them [Jonny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle] doing American TV series.” The director adds that, depending on those TV schedules, it will be his next film. The script, by the original film’s screenwriter John Hodge, is as adaptation of Irvine Welshâs Porno, the sequel to the author’s novel Trainspotting.

Steve Jobs
And speaking of Danny Boyle… Steve Jobs received a ton of praise upon premiering at this weekend’s Telluride Film Festival, much of it aimed at Michael Fassbender for his performance in the title role. But perhaps none greater than that given by the real Steve Jobs’ partner Steve Wozniak (played in the film by Seth Rogen), who’s commented, “I felt like I was actually watching Steve Jobs and the others, not actors playing them, I give full credit to Danny Boyle and [screenwriter] Aaron Sorkin for getting it so right.â
