Movie Morsels: Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy Talk VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN

It’s alive! Victor Frankenstein looks like one of the more interesting studio horror films to come our way in quite some time, based on two new featurettes of the film with stars James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe. Also in today’s Movie Morsels, a new Avengers: Age of Ultron Blu-ray featurette, an update on Tom Cruise‘s next project, a first look at Bryan Cranston as LBJ in All the Way, new images from The Angry Birds Movie, and more!

Victor Frankenstein

We recently got our first look at the trailer for Fox’s Victor Frankenstein. Now we have two new featurettes from the studio, focusing on the two leads of this reimagining of Mary Shelley’s timeless classic: James McAvoy in the title role of the most famous mad scientist in fiction, and Daniel Radcliffe as his assistant Igor.

Directed by Paul McGuigan, Victor Frankenstein arrives on November 25 and co-stars Sherlock‘s Andrew Scott and Mark Gatiss, along with Jessica Brown Findlay, Charles Dance, Callum Turner, and Noah Emmerich.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

One month remains until this summer’s smash Avengers: Age of Ultron arrives on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, Digital SD, and VOD. The Night Before

If the red band trailer for Sony’s The Night Before was something you were uncomfortable watching at work, we now have the film’s milder but still entertaining green band trailer. Starring Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anthony Mackie, Lizzy Caplan, and Jillian Bell, the Jonathan Levine-helmed holiday comedy lands on November 25.

Jack Reacher 2

Jack Reacher

Tom Cruise’s recent hot streak (because, box-office hits or not, Jack Reacher, Edge of Tomorrow, and Mission: Impossible 5 are all worthwhile experiences) looks to continue with Jack Reacher 2, the release date for which has just been announced: October 21, 2016. Cobie Smulders is expected to co-star in this Ed Zwick-helmed adaptation of author Lee Child’s eighteen Jack Reacher novel, Never Go Back, which finds the two-fisted protagonist accused of crimes he didn’t commit.

All the Way

Finally today, we have our first look at an all-but-unrecognizable Bryan Cranston as former President Lyndon B. Johnson in HBO’s All the Way, adapted from the Broadway play for which Cranston won a Tony Award in the role. The biopic, says director Jay Roach, “covers the amazing eleven-month journey from when LBJ takes office after JFK’s assassination, through LBJ’s fight to pass the 1964 Civil Rights Act and his own presidential campaign, culminating on the night LBJ is actually elected to the office – no longer the ‘accidental President.'”
