Movie Morsels: Ryan Reynold’s DEADPOOL Shows Some Cheek in His Latest Poster

Happy Hump Day, boys and girls! You’ve broken the back of the first week of December, so let’s celebrate with today’s Movie Morsels, in which we have the latest, and cheekiest, poster for Deadpool. Plus, the poster for Zoolander No. 2, the trailer for Tom Hiddleston‘s latest, and more.

Deadpool

Wade Wilson is up to his old antics in the new international poster for Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth certainly loves to show some cheek. And I’m digging the hot pink backpack…

Deadpool

Directed by Tim Miller, Deadpool co-stars Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, and Ed Skrein. The film arrives on February 12, 2016.

Zoolander No. 2

You love Zoolander, I love Zoolander, everybody loves Zoolander! So let’s take a look at the new poster for Zoolander No. 2, featuring stars Ben Still, Owen Wilson, Penelope Cruz, Will Ferrell, and Kristen Wiig. The film finds Derek and Hansel recruited by Interpol to stop a “Blue Steel” themed assassination plot…

Zoolander 2

Directed by Stiller (who probably also catered the production), Zoolander 2 lands on February 12, 2016.

I Saw the Light

Thus far, Tom Hiddleston has proved he can play damn near anybody with the kind of commanding screen presence few stars can muster. So I’m over the moon to see Hiddles further demonstrate his range as country music legend Hank Williams, opposite fellow Marvel Universe vet Elizabeth Olsen as Audrey Williams, in I Saw the Light. Here’s the brand-new trailer for the biopic, written and directed by Marc Abraham…

I Saw the Light opens on March 25, 2016.

Spring Offensive

Matt Reeves

After two Planet of the Apes films, director Matt Reeves has paid his dues to sci-fi fans, and will soon be venturing into the political thriller genre with Spring Offensive. The film is described as described as “a smart female-driven political thriller,” but details have not yet been revealed. Apparently Reeves has learned all too well to play his cards close to the chest from his time with J.J. Abrams. In the meantime, he’s helming War for the Planet of the Apes, which lands in 2017.

Mad Max: Fury Road

Fury Road

Sure nerds far and wide know of Mad Max: Fury Road‘s excellence, and we don’t need no stinkin’ awards to validate our fine taste. But it’s nice nevertheless to see director George Miller’s opus recognized by the National Board of Review as the year’s Best Film. It’s the first time the organization has seen fit to honor as genre film since Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings. Hurrah!
