Movie Morsels: RAMBO and ROCKY Return to Theaters, JURASSIC WORLD and CINDERELLA Updates

It’s our least favorite Monday of the year — the one after the holiday season. But that doesn’t mean it has to be a sad one here at Movie Morsels, not when we’ve got the news of Sly Stallone’s next Rambo and Rocky movies, as well as the latest Cinderella trailer and featurette, word on when we can watch the next Jurassic World trailer, and an image of what is quite possibly the coolest-looking Guardians of the Galaxy collectible we’ve yet seen!

Rambo 5

Those who have been crying out for a follow-up to 2008’s uproariously funny Rambo (in which John Rambo wielded a gun so powerful as to uproot trees) will be happy to hear that Sylvester Stallone has announced the title of the fifth Rambo film, the ominous-sounding Rambo: Last Blood. Sly will write, direct, and of course star in what is expected to the character’s last adventure. He’ll then return to his other iconic role as Rocky Balboa in Creed, directed by Ryan Coogler, in which the Italian Stallion will train the grandson (played by Michael B. Jordan) of his late friend and one-time rival Apollo Creed. The busy beefcake filmmaker is also set to begin work on a film about the life of real-life gangster Gregory “the Grim Reaper” Scarpa.

Guardians of the Galaxy

2014 may be over but the year’s most successful film is still going strong in the form of merchandise, and none continues to excite us more than Hot Toys’ line of Guardians of the Galaxy figures. The company has just released an image of the next character it will tackle — none other than Death’s suitor himself, Thanos, as played by Josh Brolin. Of course this world-ravaging scene-stealer will also nicely complement your Avengers Hot Toys figures. Oh, to be able to afford these goodies…

Ninjas Vs Monsters

Do you likes ninjas? Do you like monsters? Then feast your eyes on the trailer for Ninjas Vs Monsters, the final film in director Justin Timpane’s horror-comedy Ninjas series (the previous installments of which were Ninjas Vs. Zombies and Ninjas Vs. Vampires). Blair Witch Project filmmaker Eduardo Sanchez produces this monster-mash-up, which pits his heroes against classic movie monsters Dracula, Frankenstein, the Mummy, and the Werewolf (because Universal owns the rights to the Wolfman, natch). Uncork’d Entertainment brings the movie to theaters on February 2nd.
