Lots of high-octane thrills await you in today’s Movie Morsels, including a new featurette introducing you to the new cast of the so-hotly-anticipated-I-could-grill-burgers-on-it Furious 7. We’ve also got our first official teaser poster for the next James Bond epic, Spectre, the first trailer for the Adam Sandler sci-fi video-game action-comedy Pixels, word on a reboot of the fondly remembered ’80s helicopter thriller Blue Thunder, and a first look at what could be the next out-of-the-blue sci-fi movie success story, Leviathan. Check it all out below!
Furious 7
Another day, another Furious 7 featurette. And I, for one, can’t get enough, especially after reading our own Dan Casey’s raves about the film after seeing it at this month’s SXSW 2015. In this latest video, the film’s new cast members are introduced. Joining the returning Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris âLudacrisâ Bridges, and (sadly, for the last time) Paul Walker, are Jason Statham, Tony Jaa, Kurt Russell, Nathalie Emmanuel, Djimon Hounsou, John Brotherton, and a cameoing Iggy Azaela. Director James Wan’s extravaganza opens on April 3.
Spectre
So the teaser poster for the latest James Bond poster is… a still photograph? *Sigh* I should be used to it by now, but remember the days when a Bond movie poster was a work of art? Still, at least Daniel Craig’s wardrobe is a fun nod to Roger Moore’s in Live and Let Die, even if his film is likely to be a good dead more somber. Director Sam Mendes’ Spectre opens on November 6.

Pixels
Move over, Wreck-It Ralph! A new action-comedy about our love of ’80s video games is coming to town, and its first trailer suggests it may even give Disney‘s beloved animated feature a run for its quarters. Adam Sandler stars in the Chris Columbus-directed film as a former arcade champ who skills are required by the U.S. President when the world is threatened by aliens who believe the video game feeds they’ve intercepted are a declaration of war. Co-starring Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage and Brian Cox, Pixels hits theaters on July 24.

Blue Thunder
Is NOTHING Sacred? Director John Badham’s ’80s thriller Blue Thunder, starring Roy Scheider as the pilot of a super-weaponized helicopter (which was later, trivia fans, made into a TV show starring Dana Carvey) is about to be remade by Sony, which has signed on Marvel Studios writer (and former executive) Craig Kyle to script the film. Instead of a helicopter, however, Blue Thunder 2.0 will be the “world’s most advanced drone.”
Leviathan
Now, this is cool… Last Days of Mars filmmaker Ruairà Robinson has just dropped a three-minute proof-of-concept trailer online for his planned sci-fi thrill ride Leviathan, with the Irish Film Board/Bord Scannán na hÃireann helping fund the tease. The film would be co-written by Fight Club screenwriter Jim Uhls. Take a gander…
