It’s the first of December, folks. Or, as we prefer to call it, Star Wars: The Force Awakens month. So let’s celebrate with three (!) new promo videos. Also in today’s Movie Morsels, new TV spots for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and The Revenant, and the latest on the next Mission: Impossible and Shane Black’s Predator prequel!
Star Wars: The Force Awakens
This weekend we got a promo video about Rey’s adventure in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Now we’ve got a similar video featuring Finn’s journey in the film. Yes, I too am longing for a video about the mysterious Maz Kanata. But until we get one, we’ve also got two new TV spots to tide us over. So I can’t complain too much.
Starring Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Max von Sydow, director J.J. Abrams’ chapter of the Star Wars saga finally arrives on December 18.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
This ain’t your mama’s costume drama… There’s some new footage to be found of Lizzie Bennet (a.k.a. Lily James) and her sisters kicking undead ass and taking zombie names in the latest TV spot for the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies adaptation. Director Burr Steers’ adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith and Jane Austen’s bestseller will be here on February 5, 2016.

Mission: Impossible 6
Those of us who loved the hell out of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation (and we are legion), have cause for much rejoicing this fine day. Writer-director Christopher McQuarrie has just accepted his next Mission and announced the news via Twitter. Now please, Chris, do anything it takes to bring back Rebecca Ferguson!

Predator Prequel
Fred Dekker, who collaborated to spectacular effect with director Shane Black on The Monster Squad, has just revealed via Facebook that the duo have completed their draft of the Predator prequel. While Dekker helmed Monster Squad, this time around, Black will direct. Fingers crossed they can still make magic together.
The Revenant
If you like seeing hairy Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy freezing their asses off in the wilderness, then by all means pony up to this new TV spot from The Revenant. Based on Michael Punke’s 2002 novel, the Alejandro G. Iñárritu Western lands on December 25.
