While Warner Brother and Disney have their own superhero movie universes in DC and Marvel, Sony is looking to do the same with indie publisher Valiant. The studio just revealed that two comic titles — Harbinger and Bloodshot — will get two films each in the coming years, while a fifth film, titled Harbinger Wars, will unite the two series. The first Bloodshot is due in 2017, and will be directed by John Wick‘s David Leitch and Chad Stahelski, with a screenplay by Kick-Ass 2’s Jeff Wadlow and Eric Heisserer. Matthew Vaughn and Jason Kothari are producing. Heisserer will work alone on the Harbinger script, for which a director is still being sought.
