It’s Tuesday, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens is only three days away! Is everyone freaking out yet?!
Today’s Movie Morsels is mercifully Star Wars free, but we do have the first trailer for Star Trek Beyond, a breakdown of the Independence Day: Resurgence trailer, and the new international trailer for Captain America: Civil War!
Additionally, Ryan Reynolds gets us ready for the 12 Days of Deadpool, Jennifer Lawrence opens up about Mystique’s physical appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse, and the Mad Max: Fury Road producers tease a potential black and white re-release in 2016!
Movie Morsels starts now!
Captain America: Civil War
Itâs barely been two weeks since the first full trailer for Captain America: Civil War debuted, and now weâve got another one! The new international trailer for Captain America: Civil War doesnât have a lot in the way of new footage, but itâs an exciting peek at whatâs coming up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Captain America: Civil War will be released on May 6, 2016.
Independence Day: Resurgence
The invaders are back, and this time itâs personal! In ID4, humanity barely escaped extinction at the hands of an alien race. Over the course of two decades, mankind has rebuilt its largest cities, and remade its military with unparalleled access to the alien technology left behind by the invaders. But it still may not be enough when the aliens head to Earth for some payback.
Nerdist Newsâ Jessica Chobot has welcomed back the alien overlords in our breakdown of the Independence Day: Resurgence trailer that debuted over the weekend. Thereâs even a guide to trailerâs Easter eggs!
Independence Day: Resurgence will invade movie theaters on June 24, 2016.

Mad Max: Fury Road
You may have witnessed the fact that Mad Max: Fury Road is topping several criticsâ lists of the best movie of the year. Yeah, itâs really that good. And while it might be a some time before another Mad Max movie rolls into theaters, word has emerged that director George Millerâs vision of a black and white version of Mad Max: Fury Road could hit theaters in 2016.
Keep in mind, the operative word is âcould.â This isnât official yet, but Mad Max producer Doug Mitchell has confirmed that the black and white studio edition of Fury Road does exist. And Miller couldnât help teasing that âWe ended up unconsciously creating two other [Mad Max] screenplays. A second trilogy could happen, if Iâm willing to go back into the Wasteland.â

Deadpool
Believe it or not, weâre only about two months away from the release of Deadpool. And thereâs a new Deadpool trailer dropping on Christmas day! But Ryan Reynoldsâ Merc with a Mouth wonât be satisfied with just a trailer. Instead, weâre gonna get the 12 Days of Deadpool!
Deadpool will be out in theaters on February 12, 2016.

X-Men: Apocalypse
You may have noticed that Mystique was looking particularly human in the X-Men: Apocalypse trailer that dropped last week. Thatâs not a coincidence. Jennifer Lawrence has made no secret about the fact that she finds the Mystique full body makeup to be very uncomfortable. But that doesn’t mean she wonât go full Mystique again!
âI am blue in it, a little bit,â said Lawrence during an interview with CinemaBlend. âI put my foot down as much as I could. [But] they were very, very nice to me.â
X-Men: Apocalypse will be released on May 27, 2016.
Star Trek Beyond
The new trailer for Star Trek Beyond is here, and itâs looking faster and more furious than ever before. Thatâs probably due to the influence of director Justin Lin, who made his name on the Fast and Furious franchise. But could anyone have predicted a Star Trek movie with motorcycle stunts or a Star Trek trailer set to the Beastie Boys?!
Star Trek Beyond will beam down into theaters on July 22, 2016.
