Less than three months remain until the first-ever meeting of the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel in live-action cinema. But regardless of how Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice turns out qualitatively, it has already broken new ground in regard to its marketing, as can be seen in today’s Movie Morsels. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Warner Bros. has just dropped the mic on theater displays with a new “Augmented Reality” experience for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which lets a user become the Man of Steel or the Dark Knight and duke it out with his or her rival superhero. Players even get keepsake photos of the experience. The catch? For the time being, this only available in Dubai, at the VOX Cinemas at Mall of the Emirates, where it will run from January 8 to January 16. Here’s a video of the display via its manufacturer, Shooting Stars. Batman v Superman opens everywhere on March 25th.

Pee-wee’s Big Holiday

Hooray for SXSW! The annual Austin festival will feature the world premiere of the long-awaited third film to star beloved man-child Pee-wee Herman: Pee-wee’s Big Holiday. Directed by John Lee and produced by Judd Apatow and star Paul Reubens, the film will arrive on Netflix in March. Also just announced for SXSW are the premieres of the science-fiction drama Midnight Special (starring Michael Shannon, Joel Edgerton, and Kirsten Dunst), a documentary about motivational speaker Tony Robbins (Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru), Irene Taylor Brodsky’s “searing exposé on murder and internet memes” Beware the Slenderman, Athina Rachel Tsangari’s acclaimed comedy Chevalier, and Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s AMC TV series Preacher.

Dirty Grandpa

The third and final trailer for the über raunchy Dirty Grandpa—starring Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, and Aubrey Plaza—has descended from heaven. Thrill to the wrongness of the January 22nd release, directed by Dan Mazer. I, for one, am really hoping the film makes good on its trailer’s promises, maybe even reaching Filthy Grandpa levels of raunch.

Knight of Cups

Terrence Malick’s last film, To the Wonder, came and went with nary a peep. So here’s hoping the man behind Badlands and Days of Heaven gets his mojo back for Knight of Cups. One things for sure: it’s got a helluva cast. Featuring (deep breath) Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman, Brian Dennehy, Antonio Banderas, Freida Pinto, Wes Bentley, Isabel Lucas, Teresa Palmer, Imogen Poots, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Peter Matthiessen, Jason Clarke, Joe Manganiello, Joel Kinnaman, Nick Offerman, Nicky Whelan, Katia Winter, Thomas Lennon, Shea Whigham, Michael Wincott, Kevin Corrigan, Ryan O’Neal, Ben Kingsley (in voice only), and Dane DeHaan.
