MORTAL KOMBAT X Box Art and Game Details Revealed

Get ready for your spines to tingle. Mortal Kombat X pre-orders are here and the box art reveals everyone’s spear-throwing favorite, Scorpion, ready to kill.

NetherRealm Studios is back for the tenth installment of the graphically intense and gory fighting game set to release next year. If you haven’t already seen the epic reveal trailer between Scorpion and Sub-Zero, stop right now and watch the video below:

Series creator Ed Boon has already confirmed that Mortal Kombat X will feature new characters, game modes, and a graphics engine that you should definitely be hyped for if you’ve seen the trailer above. There’s more to get excited for as Mortal Kombat X will feature for the first time different variations of characters which will highly impact not only your character’s fighting style, but your own strategy of playing. It’s a feature that’s been spotted in Street Fighter games, but only time will tell how well NetherRealm can execute it compared to Capcom. Additionally, the game has become more competitive as every fight matters since you’re thrown into a persistent online contest that will rank you globally.

You can pre-order a copy of the game for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC on the official Mortal Kombat website. The game will release in 2015 and will make an appearance next week at E3.
