MONTY PYTHON LIVE (MOSTLY) Will Stream in U.S. Theaters

The announcement that the legendary comedy troupe Monty Python was going to broadcast their reunion at London’s O2 Arena had some worried that it wouldn’t reach a theater near them, especially here in America. Thanks to Fathom Events partnering with Picturehouse Entertainment, Yanks won’t have to worry anymore.

On July 20th, Monty Python Live (Mostly) will broadcast live to theaters across the U.S. and will rebroadcast on July 23rd and 24th. There is a chance that more dates will be added. Those additional dates will probably depend on how well the live stream ticket sales go. If those tickets sell even close to how the tickets for the live Monty Python performance goes, which sold out in seconds, then there should be more chances to see the show in theaters.

You can get tickets for July 20th here and the “rebroadcasts” on the 23rd and 24th here. If you somehow miss out of all of these dates, there has been talk about releasing a special of Monty Python Live (Mostly) later down the line.

All the promotions for this event are still sticking to the story that this very well may be the last performance of Monty Python together. While the original members are at an advanced age and many of them have gone to do non-comedic projects, it would be hard to believe that the end of Monty Python is preemptively written in stone.

If all goes well over the next few months, they could do a web series or even a podcast, since they’ve already got TV, movies, albums, and books covered. Will you be buying tickets to the event? Let us know in the comments below.

I would stream this tonight if I could, and if my Norwegian Blue hadn’t just kicked the bucket.
