Earlier this summer, Warner Bros. Interactive and Rocksteady Studios closed out the Batman: Arkham video game series with Batman: Arkham Knight. And while the PC version of the game had to be temporarily pulled, the Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions of Arkham Knight have been widely praised as one of the best Batman games of all time.
As a tribute to Batman: Arkham Knight, musician Gavin Dunne a.k.a. Miracle of Sound has written, produced, and performed an original song entitled âI Am The Night.â The accompanying video for âI Am The Nightâ features cutscenes and gameplay from Arkham Knight, with glimpses of the gameâs villains, including Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, The Riddler, Poison Ivy, and the enigmatic Arkham Knight. The Dark Knightâs allies are also well represented, with Commissioner Gordon, Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman, and of course, Batman himself.
Under his Miracle of Sound alias, Dunne has created several original songs based on and inspired by movies, video games, and TV series. âI Am The Nightâ is also the third song that Dunne has written and performed that took its cues from the Batman: Arkham series.
In 2013, Dunne released “Jokerâs Song,” using Batman: Arkham City as an inspiration while singing from the Jokerâs particularly insane point of view. Dunneâs vocals in this song are actually a pretty good impression of Mark Hamill’s iconic take on the Clown Prince of Crime!
