Last year, we watched Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown highlight her impressive rapping skills on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon;Â she regaled us all with her own rendition of Nicki Minaj’s “Monster” and again impressed us when she rapped on Fallon’s Golden Globes opener. Both performances were pretty badass, so naturally when she returned to The Tonight Show to promote Stranger Things 2, Fallon asked her to rap again.
Of course, she had to do something a bit more impressive than just rap someone else’s song. Ever the professional, Brown used the opportunity to help promote Stranger Things 2. While most of us downed the whole season the first weekend the show released, not everyone was able to. So, to help those people who were still a season behind, Brown rapped a recap of all of the craziness that went down in Hawkins, Indiana in 1983. Take a look:
As usual, Brown does an amazing job rapping and recapping. Not only does she manage to work in the show’s basic plot, but she calls out some of the season’s best moments. For instance, she mentions when Eleven destroyed the Demogorgon “just like a grenade,” the classic Eleven bloody nose, her deep love of Eggos, and even manages to offer a quick Barb shout-out (because no Stranger Things season one recap is complete without a Barb shout-out). Hopefully Brown and Fallon can work out a recap rap for Stranger Things 2 to distract us from the crushing wait we’re all facing for the show’s third season.
What did you think of Brown’s rap? What are some of your other favorite celebrity hidden talents? Tell us in the comments!
