MIFVOTD 4/17/14: Rob Gleeson’s CONAN Set on Coming Out

Today’s Most Intentionally Funny Video of The Day is the late night stand up debut of comedian Rob Gleeson on Conan. His set was not only great as a wonderful stand-up set, but Gleeson did his entire set on the subject of coming out as gay, which is a bold move in late night. He also did so in such a genuine, atypical way that this performance shouldn’t easily be forgotten.

Here’s the previous MIFV pick, in case you missed it.

Per usual, I’m taking submissions for the MIFV like so many featured in the past. I love finding new, hilarious videos from people hundreds and thousands of miles away, so please do send your videos so long as they follow the rules below.
-E-mail embeddable video link to [email protected] with subject line “MIFV Submission”
-Videos must have been posted online (i.e. have a time stamp that says so) within exactly two weeks from when you submit (i.e. videos uploaded more than 14 days from the day when you submit will not be up for consideration)
-Don’t add any cover letters or explanations; please just send the link

As a gay man, i didn’t find his act all that funny…(sorry, i guess i’m the “hater gay”)…too many “been there, done that”s…to straight people, i’m sure it’s funny because it gives them that sense of “oh, gee, is that what happens in a gay club, tell me more about this alien world”…to the rest of us gays, it’s “yeah, yeah, yeah, we get it, newbie”
