Michelle Obama Made a Personal Valentine’s Day Playlist for Barack

When you’ve been with someone for a long time it can be hard to come up with new ways to do something special for them on Valentine’s Day, especially when you’re one of the most famous couples in the world. But that didn’t stop Michelle Obama from finding a sweet, simple way of letting her husband Barack know how much she still cares for him. Because this year she said it with song, by putting together a playlist just for him—which she also shared with all of us.

The former First Lady took to Twitter on this love-filled holiday to let old number 44 know how much she still cares about him after 25 years of marriage, and it reminded us why they are one of our favorite duos.

Her Spotify playlist includes a wide range of songs about love and commitment from across generations, including classic tracks from artists like Etta James, Barry White, and Diana Ross, as well as more modern hits from Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and Alabama Shakes.

That’s some pretty good Valentine’s Day game there.

So how did the former President live up to this personal soundtrack dedicated to their love?

Oh. A picture with a sweet little note. That’s…nice. But we can’t exactly hit play on that during our own dinner tonight, can we sir? That’s why Michelle wins this Valentine’s Day in the Obama household.

But knowing how much they love each other, we can’t wait to see how he tries to outdo this next year.

What other songs do you wish she had included here? Hit play on your best idea in the comments below.
