There have been many, many action figures of Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock — at one time, he was the actor who could boast more different toys of himself than anyone else on-screen. And each company brought something different to the mix — classic Megos had the cloth outfit, Playmates delivered the best accessories, and Art Asylum/Diamond nailed the likeness most accurately.

Mezco, however, is the first to bring all of those attributes into one figure.

Most companies that have made Spock figures have made the “Live long and prosper” hand an option. Here we get that, PLUS mind-meld hand, nerve-pinch hand, phaser-holding hand, and — for those extremely rare moments when the human side boils over and he just loses it — fists. He also comes with two heads, so you can have him in standard “serious” mode, or quizzical “What the hell did Shatner just say?” eyebrow-raised inquiry. Both sculpts let you see practically every pore in Leonard Nimoy’s skin.

Look at that picture above for a moment. Now realize: that’s an enlarged photo. This figure is only 6 inches tall, and you have to blow it up to see all the detail. Sure, the $70 pre-order price is higher than that of most 6-inch figures you might own, but this could literally be the first, last, and only Spock toy you will ever need. I mean, unless you want a Zachary Quinto one too, which is fair.
