Mew Is Preloaded, Playable In Pokéball Plus for New POKÉMON Games

For years, fans have been waiting for a main-series Pokémon game to come to a non-handheld console, and it’s finally happening (although the Switch is technically a handheld, I suppose): Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! are coming to Nintendo Switch on November 16, 2018. The games are based on Pokémon Yellow, so they take place in the Kanto region from the original games, and they will be compatible with the new PokéBall Plus accessory, which works like a Joy-Con controller and allows you to carry your favorite Pokémon with you on the go.

We knew all of that already, but with E3 today, we have some new information about the games: When you get a PokéBall Plus, a Mew of your very own will be pre-loaded onto it, and you’ll be able to use him as you navigate your way through the game. It appears Mew will be exclusive to the PokéBall Plus, so if you want one, this may be your only chance.

There could still be more Pokémon-related news to come today, so keep checking in with us and we’ll keep you in the know! Tell us what you think about all these developments in comments.
