MEN, WOMEN & CHILDREN Trailer Brings the Intensity

Director Jason Reitman’s new film Men, Women & Children has a new teaser trailer that will make you question the way you interact with the device you’re reading this on right now. If ever you wondered whether your use of social media, computers, the internet – basically any form of communication that doesn’t involve looking someone in the eye and opening your mouth – has changed the way you interface with the world, it will answer that question for you: Yes, yes it has.

Academy Award-nominated Reitman, who previously directed Juno and Up In The Air, is adapting Chad Kultgen’s 2011 novel that deals with the sexual and social relationships of American families as they navigate the way those relationships have changed in the digital era. The film will address social issues like body image, fame seeking, gaming culture, and privacy on the internet.

You Didn't Tell anyone right

When a teaser trailer is filled with thought-provoking and completely relatable images like these, we can only imagine how the film will make us reevaluate the way technology has not just changed daily life, but the intrinsic way we interact as a species. Is it easier to hit reply on a screen than smile at a stranger in a bar? Does the anonymity of the internet make you more or less willing to go up against your own boundaries? What are the consequences of both? We are expecting an intense ride that may change the way we look at each other and at ourselves.
