Attention, all you children of the ’90s: it seems two of your favorite television series starring actress Melissa Joan HartâClarissa Explains It All and Sabrina, the Teenage Witchâmight be jumping on the nostalgia bandwagon and making a return to the airwaves at some point in the near future.
According to the actress herself, who mentioned the possibility of comeback while appearing on the syndicated talk show FABLife, Hart was asked whether fans should expect a reboot of either of her series, similar to how both The X-Files and Full House have returned. The actress replied. âI am going to a meeting after this,â she replied, sending the audience into an uproar of excitement.
Hart then tried to calm everyone down:Â âItâs a meeting, hold on. Take a step back,” adding, “Theyâre throwing around Clarissa and Sabrina ideas, but it depends on whoâs going to give up rights, whoâs going to do it, howâs it going to be done. Itâs a lot of politicsâwe are nowhere near doing anything.â Still, now that the possibility is out there, and the fans know about it, expect some kind of traction with these possible revivals sooner rather than later. You can watch a clip of the show above.
Teen sitcom Clarissa Explains It All aired on Nickelodeon from 1991-94. As soon as Clarissa ended, Hart followed that part with the lead role on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, another sitcom based on the classic supernatural Archie Comics character. Sabrina had a fairly long run, airing from 1996 to 2000 on ABC before moving to The WB, where it was remained until 2003.
