Matt Damon Acts Out His Film Career Highlights With James Corden

Since entering the American late night television discussion, The Late Late Show host James Corden has made a strong impression, thanks in part to a few original recurring bits, like “Mystery Pizza Box,” “Carpool Karaoke,” and “Roll Call.” In the latter of which he acts out the highlights of an established actor’s film career with that actor. Previously, he’s done “Roll Call” with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tom Hanks, and Corden added to his illustrious list last night when he took eight minutes to run through Matt Damon’s movies.

For those unfamiliar with the format, Corden and Damon recreated scenes from a few of Damon’s movies using a green screen, bare-bones sets and basic props, taking about five to 15 seconds per film to act out recognizable moments. The two did everything from Good Will Hunting — Corden sported a blonde, pony-tailed wig to portray the intellectual bar snob — to the Oceans Eleven series — finding a clever way of getting around the entire cast not being present — to The Martian — their take was admittedly under-informed, since the movie hasn’t been in theaters yet and Corden hasn’t seen it.

Elsewhere in the program, Corden got to tell Damon about the time he was stopped on the street and was told that he looked like “a fat Matt Damon.” At the very least, Corden has a better relationship with Damon than fellow late night host Jimmy Kimmel does — Damon and Kimmel have been involved in a “feud” since 2003, and a few nights ago, it culminated in the two attending couples therapy together.
