We’ve Got a New MASS EFFECT: ANDROMEDA Trailer and Release Date

The wait is almost over for Mass Effect fans! Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to launch in just over two months, and now we’ve got a new glimpse of what awaits humanity’s Pathfinder in a new galaxy and when it’s slated to release. That’s right: at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES for short), NVIDIA GeForce dropped the latest Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer, and we’re more excited now than ever.

For the first thirty seconds of the trailer, the focus is on the Tempest, a starship that has been assigned to find new planets for humanity to colonize several centuries after the events of the first Mass Effect trilogy. While it’s easy to get lost in those gorgeous shots of the Tempest in flight, that was just the teaser. When it cuts ahead to the gameplay footage, the Pathfinder and his team are stranded on an unknown alien planet, and there’s a whole world of trouble awaiting them.

The trailer also offers a taste of the new upgrade options and abilities, and we have to admit that the flamethrower looks particularly enticing, especially considering the battles ahead. And if that wasn’t enough, the gameplay footage was stunning. We can’t wait to get our hands on this game and start kicking alien ass again. Commander Shepard is always going to have a special place in our hearts, but we think that the Pathfinder siblings will be worthy heroes in their own right.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will be released on March 21 for Playstation 4, Playstation Pro, Xbox One, and PC.
