Mashup Monday: ‘Beverly Hills Rock Mashup’ by Queen, Weezer, Joan Jett

Well, if you’ve ever wanted to turn a midwestern dad onto mashup music, here is your chance. This Weezer-Joan Jett-Queen mashup that has been quietly lurking in the depths of the internet for four years is ready to strike, turning any and all dads within the blast radius into marginally cooler/deafer dudes. Using various instrumental portions of “Beverly Hills”, “We Will Rock You”, and “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll”, this rock mashup quite simply gives you what you want for 3 minutes and 34 seconds like a really good backcountry bar cover band that specializes in making cross-generational medleys, or like a semi-adequate session of coitus. Midwestern dads love both in equal measure.

Not exactly sure why the image associated with this mashup is this blue baby with transition lenses and a septum ring. Maybe he/she should link up with the Nevermind baby and the Chumbawumba baby and duel with other infant-fronted bands in some sort of toddler-oriented battle of the bands. We’d pay to see that (assuming it was legal).

Anyway, stop reading my mind-vomit and start blasting this jam!

That was… kind of bad. I don’t often disagree with the Nerdist, but this did not do it for me.

  2. Gerry says:

“Semi-adequate coitus?”…yeah, that’s what we dads mostly get (Midwest or not).

  3. IndianaMatt says:

As a Midwestern dad, I feel qualified to point out that Queen + Anything Else < QueenThat’s just basic math.
