Marvel’s JARVIS App for iOS Available TODAY

Last week, at a media event at Walt Disney Studios, a demonstration was given of the brand new Marvel JARVIS app for iOS devices. With it, you’re effectively loading Tony Stark’s faithful A.I. butler to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod. Now, your calendar, messages, ringtones, alarm, and more can be handled by the same thing that powers Iron Man. And the coolest bit? Paul Bettany returns to voice the computerized character, so you really will have the most authentic JARVIS possible.

On top of all the day-to-day activity with which JARVIS can help you, the app is specially designed to work in tandem with the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray, released on September 24th. If your Blu-ray playing device is internet capable, you can sync your app with it and voice-control the movie menu and more. There’s also the added bonus of a scavenger hunt within the Blu-ray that will unlock special Iron Man armors, 44 in total. Finally, you get a reward for devouring every piece of Blu-ray content. New updates will occur in the ensuing months, leading up to the release of Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, like photos and videos, but the main crux of the app will still be tied to Iron Man 3.

Below is a series of shots of what the app will look like on your phone, but they look similar on the iPad (just wider, obviously).

If you’d like JARVIS in the palm of your hand, and at the call of your voice, then download the JARVIS app in the iOS store this very moment.

  7. Roxanne says:

I am so tired of every cool app being released for iPhone and not for Android. It’s ridiculous that it takes months or longer for android to get the same apps, if we ever get them at all. By every statistic I have seen there are more people using Android than iPhone, or at least as many, so why are the makers of apps trying to force us to buy iPhones? I have heard a lot of people that got an iPhone say they didn’t like it and they ended up getting an Android and they liked it better, so why make all the apps for iPhone?

  8. Sarah says:

Come on, guys. Android users are marvel geeks too. Its been four months whats the hold up!

  9. Jonty Richmond says:

I hope this reaches Australian Itunes and App Stores, I would trust Paul Bettany to operate my iPhone more than Voice Control

  10. Suzanne Phillips says:

  24. RG says:

People from countries where content is not available: Would you stop and think for one second? People who make apps and streaming content WANT your money. They’re not restricting content because of personal bias. You might not realize that, in ‘Murica, xenophobia is for poor hicks; big companies are NOT refusing your money because feelings.

No, this is a result of differing rights legalities in your own home countries. If you’d lobby your own governments to adopt copyright laws and royalties breakdowns that are compatible with those of the country where most of the world’s entertainment is made, then you could finally get all the stuff you always clog up these threads complaining about.

Trust me… I’m no patriot… but when it comes to choosing the proper methods for producing and distributing frivolities, just fall in line. We know our stuff.

  25. Ben Z says:

So, do I have to load the app each time to be able to use him after the download? Or will he replace Siri?

  26. Scott says:
